VICTORY GSE HYDRAULIC BOARDING STAIRCASE AM32H11 RECONSTRUCTED TO ZERO TIME OR RECONDITIONED

The staircase is a two section passenger stair way used for loading and unloading passenters from aircraft. lt is a completely self contained, mobile, manually operated, air transportable unit. The staircase may be used rvith aircraft which have access doors ranging from 94 to 211 inches above the ground level. The upper stairs and the vertical stair support (A frame) can be raised hydraulicalty by ProPer alignment of selector valves and operation of the hydraulic hand pump. The unit may be collapsed to a height of 96 inches for air transportation.
The cart is a welded steel structure which supports the complete unit. The AFrame is a square tube, adjustable support for the stairway. The stairway is of two piece construction with the upper stairs extendable. The A-Frame and upper stair are held in the raised positions by ratchets and dog assemblies. The upper platform, attached to the upper stairway, is equipped with an openable gate on each side to permit movement of the aircraft door and with a tubular rubber bumper to protect the aircraft. The gates have spring loaded latches, to secure the gates in the closed position. The spring loaded latches are equipped with safety pins to prevent inadvertent opening of the gates. Attachment rings are provided on the bottom of the lower stair for a NT-4 towbar when towing the staircase.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. The hydraulic system consists of the reservoir which contains 8 gallons of hydraulic fluid, MIL-Fl7lll. A 1500 psi double action hand pump to supply pressure to the components. Selector valves to direct the flow of fluid from the pump to the proper cylinder or jacks. Flow control valves which are adiusted to control the lowering speed of the cylinders. A stairway extend cylinder and A-Frame cylinders to raise and lower the platform. Stabilizer jacks are located on
each corner to stabilize the unit while in use. The jacks are hydraulically extendd and spring return. The setup cylinders are used to prepare the unit for shipment and set up after shipment. A relief valve is installed to ensure safe working pressure is not exceeded. A filler strainer and line strainer are used to keep contaminants from the system.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The electrical system is used to illuminate the steps and platform when the staircase is in use. The system includes lead acid automotive batteries for use when external power is not available. The batteries are recharged when not in use, by a built in battery charger. The upper stair wiring is a coil cord type. Wiring is encased in Auto Loom. Relays and circuit breakers are provided to protect the system and allow for use of external or battery power.
